Superior Rooms Merlot
Merlot is not only a worldwide reknown vine but also a room that we´re especially proud of. Merlot used to be a Standard Room but after our big renovation of the Western Wing in 2017, Merlot strived to be a Superior Room – with all the comfort and elegance you’d expect of a place that carries such an inviting name. Merlot has a cozy seating corner from which you have a great outside view. However, the best place is probably the private terrace. There’s nothing like a sunset behind the mountains with the moon going up and a good glass of South African Merlot in your hand. Cuddle up in the queen-sized bed and enjoy sweet dreams in one of the most beautiful regions of South Africa.

Even though Cultivar Guest Lodge is not a typical family hotel, we love having the little ones around. And we have to admit, they generally enjoy being around us as well. With the two pools in our huge garden, they have more than enough space to play, in- and outside the water.
Two familiy units with connecting doors
Cultivar offers two family units with connecting doors and direct access to each other. If you are interested in those family-friendly rooms, just let as know at the time of booking.
Babies and toddlers probably prefer to sleep with their parents but baby cots are most certainly available. For the older ones, we offer foldaway beds and pull-out sofas (as per our child sharing policy).
